Engine-911 was
restored as a symbol of the bravery displayed on September 11, 2001 by the
firefighters of New York City. It's purpose has grown to celebrate
the heroism of all of America's Firefighters. Please visit the
History
of Engine 911
pages
to learn about the origin of the truck, see photos of its restoration
and Engine 911's return to quarters in 2004 at Engine 4 & Ladder 15
on South Street in Lower Manhattan, NY.
Originally restored over a 17 month
period from Nov. 2002 to May of 2004, Engine 911 was returned to New York
in August 2004. Engine-911 has since returned to Pennsylvania and
will be housed by the Milford Township Fire Company. In keeping with
its mission, Engine 911 makes periodic trips for memorial services and
youth events. Please visit the Future of Engine 911
to see what's
going on with the truck, where it has recently appeared and where it will
be appearing next.
The
activities and maintenance of Engine 911 are administered by The Engine
